Other Ways To Serve
There are plenty of ways that you can use your time and skills to assist Our Towns Habitat for Humanity as we work toward our mission of building homes, communities and hope.
Office Volunteer
Volunteer needs in the office include data entry, filing, preparing mailings and various other administrative tasks.
Committee Member
Our Towns Habitat has several committees who work with our staff in support of our mission, including Resource Development, ReStore, Family Services and Finance.
Event Volunteer
Special events such as fundraisers and volunteer appreciation events take a lot of work to pull off. Volunteers are an asset in helping plan, set up and staff events.
Volunteer Host
Our hosts help greet and orient construction volunteers at the beginning of a build day and make sure liability waivers are signed and collected. They also help serve coffee, water and snacks.
HomeStay Hosts
HomeStay is a program offered in partnership with Davidson College. HomeStay Hosts open their homes to families of Davidson students during events such as Freshman Orientation, Family Weekend and Commencement, as an alternative to a hotel stay. In return, the visiting families make a donation to Our Towns Habitat.
If you’re interested in any of these opportunities, or would like to discuss other ways you can contribute your time and talents to Our Towns Habitat, please email Volunteer Program Manager Cathy Petriano or call 704-896-8957, ext. 108 to discuss opportunities.
