Women Build

Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity project which brings women together to actively address the problems of children living in sub-standard housing and become part of the solution-one house, one family at a time.  Women join together to organize, raise funds, and build a Habitat home.

Lowe's is a national partner of the Women Build initiative.

Theresa Coronado is the homeowner of the fourth Women Build house.  It is located in Cornelius on Ferry Street.  Theresa is a single mother of a 15 year old daughter.  She works at Metrolina Greenhouses Inc. in Huntersville.

The 2007 Women Build home was dedicated on March 16, 2008.

WE HAVE BEGUN PLANNING AND FUNDRAISING FOR THE 2009 WOMEN BUILD HOME. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING US, CONTACT US AT WOMENBUILD@OURTOWNSHABITAT.ORG
