Please consider volunteering your time and talent to help deserving families in our area.  You can volunteer in a number of ways:

• Construction for New Home Builds
• Construction for Neighborhood Revitalization Projects
• Food and Amenities for New Home Builds and Neighborhood Revitalization Projects
• Administrative and Office
• Event Volunteers
• ReStore Volunteers
• And many other ways

Who Can Volunteer?

Our volunteers give the equivalent of over 66,000 hours during the course of a year: Everything from house construction to committee involvement, from data entry to public speaking.  Many of our volunteers have never held a hammer while others are skilled contractors.

However, the common interest of all our volunteers is their willingness to help families build homes who would otherwise not be able to afford one. All are welcome.

Young people ages 16 and 17 are welcome on our construction sites as long as a parent or guardian comes with them. Youth ages 18 and up are allowed without a parent or guardian. A waiver of liability is required before working on a site.

Our volunteers are not only individuals who live and work in our 4 towns, but many of them also attend houses of worship in our 4 towns. They are of all faiths and backgrounds, coming together for the purpose of putting their beliefs into action, building communities, and changing lives 1 family at a time.

Volunteers needed on the following Saturdays:

Saturday construction schedule will now be 7:45am to 1:00pm. We will no longer be providing lunch unless otherwise specified. We will continue to have snacks and water available on the site. If you would like to provide a lunch, please send an email to jessica@ourtownshabitat.org.

Volunteer Up is a database we use in order for volunteers to log on and be able to see our construction/project schedule and be able to sign up for the tasks they are interested in. Please click on the logo below to access Our Town's profile, create a login and password, then click on the name of the particular task that you want to sign up for!

 To register, click on the logo below
--Click register under new volunteer on the right
--Enter a username, password, your name, email address, and other information you wish to share
--Check the boxes to indicate what roles/team you are interested in, as well as what congregation or group you are affiliated with, if any

To sign up, click on the logo below
--Sign in with your username and password on the left
--You will see the broadcast message. This will contain reminders such as host site location and other timely information. Click return on the bottom of this screen.
--You will now see the calendar screen. Scroll down to find the day you are interested in, then across for the type of volunteer work (PP/vinyl siding/event).
--Click the name of the task/event.
--Check the box next to the shift you wish to work. You can also set up email reminders from the dropdown menu. If you cannot choose the shift you want, you need to make sure you checked the appropriate team when you registerer.
--Scroll to the bottom of the screen and hit sign up. Now you are registered for that day. Thank you very much for volunteering!
