Our Towns Habitat for Humanity Global Impact
Our Towns Habitat for Humanity is 1 of the top affiliates in the world for total tithe donations. For every dollar raised locally, we tithe 10%. Since 1988, Our Towns Habitat has tithed over $1.4 Million! Overall, Our Towns Habitat is ranked #10 in the world for the amount of its tithe. Our lifetime tithe country is Guatemala but as the international call for help rises, we respond.

About Guatemala
Habitat for Humanity International requires all Habitat affiliates worldwide to tithe. Our Towns Habitat for Humanity tithes to Habitat for Humanity Guatemala.
Our Towns staff, volunteers and donors are committed to serve our community and the people of Guatemala. Each year, at least 2 teams of volunteers spend a week in Guatemala. They build side by side with the Guatemalan homeowners and strengthen the ties of friendship and service between the 2 cultures.
Because of its geographic location, Guatemala is prone to natural disasters such as tremors, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, and floods.
Established in 1979, Habitat for Humanity Guatemala has 15 regional offices and an office in all of its 22 states. Habitat For Humanity Guatemala provides earthquake-resistant houses constructed of concrete floors, block walls and corrugated zinc roofs.
A Habitat house in Guatemala typically replaces a makeshift structure often made of wood or mud that lacks a septic system, plumbing, or electricity. If you would like more information on Habitat Guatemala visit www.habitatguate.org (site currently unavailable)
